I have been a paying member with these guys for a while, so have access to their full course and webinars. They are allowing the below webinar on cam tuning to be available to anyone that wants to watch. So if your interested, tune in see these guys in action, they have lots of experience as tuners and for not a lot of money you can get access to their online course and other very techy shit.

Pro Tuner Webinar: Cam Control
Dyno Style Interactive Lesson
Modern engines are making more regular use of variable cam control systems, and this can have a dramatic effect on the power and torque that the engine produces. Tuning these cam control systems is a common cause of confusion and this webinar will show you how the system works, how effective it can be in altering the torque characteristics of the engine, and how to approach tuning such a system.

For the Webinar we will be using a Toyota GT86 with quad variable cam control and the MoTeC M150 ECU. As usual there will be the opportunity for questions and answers during the webinar. It is expected that the webinar will run for approximately 1 hour.

PS: We are going to open this Pro Tuner Webinar up to everyone. So if you have a friend that is interested in EFI Tuning send him the link and they will be able to participate for free :)

Yep, good way to spend a lunch break. Live steaming from a dyno, and a tafe lecture rolled into one. You would be surprised how well these guys can pull that off.

Another pro tuner webinar today at 3pm Perth time, relevant for the guys running, or thinking of running haltec. Pretty good value for money if your a member.

'Haltech’s Platinum PRO Plug In ECU offers three modes for modelling the fuel delivery; Lambda Correction using the MAF sensor, Injection Time which is a millisecond-based fuel model or VE. In this webinar we will look at each model and discuss how it functions as well as its merits. We will also be looking at the integration of Haltech’s WB2 CAN based wideband controller and how this can be used to aid tuning.'

Nope, but they are available as a pod cast style video to members. Will try and get a copy using the the kids vid capture software. Let you know.

Interesting talk about these CAN bus WB sensors. Seems to be the way forward, a WB that you might actually trust to control fuel trimming to compensate for a poor backyard fuel map. Wonder if they can work with PS1000.

Doesnt single channel mean only 1 sensor? So if you wanted to run 4 injectors on canbus you would need a 4 channel canbus coder and decoder?

I dont see the point really till you get to say 15 channels. Then you could run 1 wire from the ecu to the engine and control/ monitor 15 items. Its ok for things like lights etc that only require 1/0 simple signals, but a native analogue signal requires a/d encoding, decoding, then inside the ecu it does it again......

Or maybe I dont understand the setup

I don't think can bus was designed to replace your loom. It's just a better way of getting analogue signals in and out of the ECU. With the WB for example, you can get big (0.5 arf) differences in what your gauge says and what the ECU sees. Don't know why exactly but I have this problem with my mtx-l, something to do with reference rail voltages of the processors. Can bus fixes this. Also, outputs like the electronic dashes are much more plug and play, without 3km of wiring. If you want to run lots of bits, you just get can bus hubs, much like USB hubs.
