Proton Satria GLi - no injector pulse?

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Didnt you get someone to crank it over whilst you had the fuel line disconnected from the fuel rail to see if it was pumping fuel?

Its a weird one..

i got an ecu/relays etc from pick a part and that looked to have fixed the problem for about 2 weeks.. now the same problem? the car just wont start... i also disconnected the fuel line but theres no fuel that comes out and no spark?....

i tested the fuel pump in the car and it seemed to work ok?

im really stumped... im hoping the pump isnt working cos i had the tank tilted on an angle and that its maybe the dizzy that is the cause of all these headaches? it looks lik the original one which has currently got about 230,000km on it...

yer thats what it is.. im am like 99.99% sure... its driving ok nows.. i carry a spare battery and some tools and also a spare relay incase it fails again :) im prepared this time! heheheheh

Yes, definitely Engine control relay problem Jon. The protons either have 2 x individual relays on a block, or a single gold relay like the Mitsus have. I reckon you've got a dodgey connection in the plug or an exposed wire there somewhere. Remove the dashboard and pull the carpet back. Inspect the wires going to the relay block, especially if some have been resting against the chassis floor and melted due to exhaust heat or something.
