FARK ME! I went to price up some of the 'push lock' barbed style Speedflow/Earls/Aeroquip connections today for my oil cooler and oil filter relocatin kit. I expected it to be cheaper than the Earls swivel type/braided lines I already have for my fuel and turbo lines but when I got a quote for over $400 my jaw dropped  This stuff was just the same if not dearer than the swivel/braided items even though its only barbed and uses rubber hose

I'd rather use the push-lock blue/black rubber hose over braided line down below due to the area copping a lot of water road dirt and grime and mud and stones etc, plus its a bit more flexible and easier to bend.

Anyhow, I got quoted over $400 for the following -10AN fittings so I didnt buy anything yet  :
4 x 90 degree
1 x 150 degree (I think this was something like $70+ on its own)
1 x 120 degree (I think this was something like $70+ on its own)
2 x straights
6 feet of blue Aeroquip hose

I also went to ENZED to see what they offered equivalent in hydraulic brass fittings but all they had were big and bulky straights, 45's and 90's which wouldnt suit the tight spaces I needed the bends in

So looks like I'm gonna have to wait til I get some more $$ and do a bit more shopping around. So the next time you need these types of fittings and lines in your car or see it in other peoples cars, be prepared to crap yourself when you find out how much a setup actually costs

Yeah, they're ridiculously priced. I used to have a mate who could get trade on this stuff for me, and the markup on it is absolutely ridiculous.

There's a website that sells the fittings significantly cheaper than you can get it from MSCN and stuff, but I can't remember what it's called - I'll shoot a mate an email and see if I can find it for you.
