Putting on a door trim (noob question).

We'll I took off the door trim to fix my speaker mount and all went well, but my problem lies with putting the door trim back on.

I slide the door trim from the top down, so that the lock tab is cleared and in the hole, and that it feels like its sitting in the right spot. Now I push down to clip the mofo in from the top and it wont clip down. Now I know it has to go down because otherwise the door handle doesnt fit in the right spot. Once it does go down, then all I should need to do is push on the eight clips on the bottom, but I have to get it to go down first.

Is there any sort of tips for this. Im quite frustrated spending a fair bit of time and getting no where on something that should have been easy. Do you need to have the window down or something?

just play with it a bit,
sorta get it in on an angle but as u are doing u gotta do it from the top,
then push down hard from the top and just whack the clips in posi,

ive already told you a million times :lol:

you have to slide the top front corner on first, then put it over the lock tab, and then clip on the rest of the clips at the bottom. Sometime to make it easier I take off the small piece of corner trim as well, then you can slide the door trim easily into position, and replace the corner trim piece once youve put the door trim back in place.

i put the trim over the lock tab first,
and then i fiddle with the trim by pushing it against the door and while doing this I slide it up and down repeatedly until it slips in and then presto

Use the palm of your hand to give it a quick bash from the door trim side, around halfway along the door trim, and at the same time push down :wink:

All good, went down first time with the window down. Took like 5min max on tuesday after work. Not sure wtf happened monday night, just lost patience, but I didnt do anything different, maybe a bit more force, dono?, meh.. all happy now neways
