Question about AMG Galant

Hi all, I was looking about the place as I do and came across this

Up the top regarding the body kit, it claims that this is the last remaining spare of 16 type 1 AMG kits in the world. I got to thinking and did a LOT of digging around on this site and the interweb and couldn't for the life of me find out the actual production numbers for the AMG Galants, type 1 or any others. The reason for this post, is as it happens digging around in the scary parts box, I found a "tuned by AMG" 4g63 plug cover!
I sincerely apologise if I actually missed a post about this on this forum, but I really am curious about it.

That's a bummer dude, saw that one too to see how much it went for, there was one in NZ a while back as well and a few in the states sold over the last few years, they don't seem to go for much which is why I posted up the question about rarity. Some guys on the DSM forums used to get them on some of their JDM import engines and they kinda had a "who cares" attitude about them. I love finding out about the rare limited edition cars that come out!
Years ago I found an engine out of a "White Lightning" which was a limited edition KB ford laser turbo from 1985 which was limited to 300 total builds, they had recaros, different wheels and a build number on the dash pad and probably other stuff. I've only ever seen one of them on the street and that was 15 years ago. That kind of stuff fascinates me.

He out bid me by $2.50 it went for 158 bucks. So im on the hunt for another. Yeh always loved the tx3 don't see them much anymore

Ah, not the TX3, they were the daddy of the TX3 turbo, 150 3 doors and 150 5 doors were ever produced.

It's totally before tx3 stuff, don't know what they called them in japan, but the the Japanese version had a basic efi system, the ford had a solex blow through carburettor set up, no intercooler, no bov lol. They made these to compete with Nissan exa and ET pulsar turbos.
And every time I see that AMG Galant in that link it makes me want to lick my screen :drool:
