Are all NA or atmo fuel pumps the same?

Sorry if I sound pesky with different topics but here goes..

I transplanted a DOHC NA 4g63 to my Lancer CB4a which had a SOHC 4g92 engine

Should I need to change the fuel pump since it is a larger engine? I changed my tank with a new one since the mechanic saw it had rusty old fuel inside along with a tank is a new fuel pump OEM for the Lancer.

Ive been asking if the Galant's fuel pump is larger than a Lancer since the 4g63 usally comes from a Galant or a RVR

Hopefully light can be shed in this..

BTW
the reason why im asking this is whenever I have Low fuel in my tank ..when it goes under 1/4 tank my car won't accelerate hard the revs goes to 4k RPMs and the engine hiccups.
it does that whenever I go uphill with low fuel it will hesitate / hiccups or eventually dies out if the low fuel light comes on for some time and have to level the car before i can start it again.

I cant also park the car facing up in an incline otherwise it won't start unless i level the car out.

all mentioned problems occur when my fuel goes below 1/4 tank and worse if the low fuel light turns on.

I'm not sure if the problem is with the fuel pump .. wether it is not fowing enpugh for the larger engine or there is another problem?

Please help me with this I been living with this problem since the swap in 2008 and i have never figured out my fuel consumption since i cant go below 1/4 tank which wont be accurate.

Thanks

Fill car up to work consumption out. Work it out from full to full not empty to empty.
Pump will be fine, its just running out of petrol as the little bit of petrot left is running away from the pump when on a hill.
Fuel light on means put some in it, not drive for another 3 days.
Running the pump dry often will burn the pump out as the fuel keeps the pump cool and lubricated

I understand that we can not leave the pump not submerged in petrol otherwise it will over heat.
In my case when the low fuel indicator light up i immediately go and fill the car up.
However there are some instances where the indicator just lit up meaning the tank still has around 8li of petrol and i cant find a petrol station immediately, the symptoms i mentioned occurs it doesnt happen to my other cars.

If you want to ghetto fix this install a home made swirl pot

You want an Ali can big enough to fit the fuel pick up assembly.

Atatch the can to the pick up assembly and put some holes in the base to allow fuel to run in

Now remove it and attach some more Ali to the inside covering the holes this will slow the release of fuel away from the pump yet let fuel in (you may want to use something softer.) once complete reattach and replace
