Quickest Time For A Stock ECU Equipped GSR/EVO/VR4

Hi just wondering what the quickest time anyone has seen done or heard of by a car that had the stock ECU equipped(Chipped is fine but no piggy back controllers)?

I'll start

Al ran constant 12.4s in his 14b powered 1.8L GSR.. Im aiming for faster :shock: .. Cant think of a faster stock ECU'd GSR
 
I'll be using stock ECU no piggy back ECU controllers, only thing i will have will be a boost controller.

I'm pretty certain that i should be able to knock 12.4 off without to much trouble.
 
No GT30R on a worked 2lt

But i'm only interested in what the quickest time in Aus for STOCK ECU equipped 4G is.
 
correct me if im wrong but would the stock ecu be able to cope with the bigger turbo and so forth?.
 
:wink: Good question Olly :lol: Thats exactly what i'm aiming to find out.

With the assistance of my mate where gonna see just how limiting the stock ECU is. With his gear he is able to tune it on the fly rather than having to write chips consistantly, so were gonna road & dyno tune to attemp to get the most out of the stock ECU.

The stock ECU can be used to adjust timing, fuel maps, compensate for injectors and i can use have a stutter box programmed into it for drags.

Yer this is with Dave? I assume its going to be done using an ostrict..

Im yet to use an ostrict on my car but with a Mines Tuning house chip and a stock turbo.. my car runs 12.5 @ 110.66mph 1.89 60'.. so if i can get the 60's down into the low 1.7s im heading for a flat 12.. :)

Yeah i have done it all before aswell but not with my new setup... just gotta run it in and away i go.

OBX Stainless Manifold
Genuine Tial 38mm External gate with screamer
Custom TRIKFAB 3" Dump/Front pipe
Walbro Pump
Sard Fuel Pressure Reg
Custom 4" Intake Pipe
055 MAF
K&N POD
ARP Rod, Main & Head studs
Replacing the bearings with "Racing Bearings"
Move Battery to boot
3" Exhaust
HKS EBC III
EVO III FMIC

Think thats about it.
 
no camshafts? id seriously consider putting camshafts in with that sucker of a thing.. !!!! Cams will fully maximize the turbos potential. The intercooler will also restrict your setup.. id consider going bigger there. E3 cooler ive been told is good for around 220kw (really pushing it)

Completly agree with what your saying. They are the main things i see as being restrictions aswell.

Have run short of coin now so there gonna have to wait a little while... It will need to be run in yet anyway so after its ran in i might see how the finances look then and possibly make the last few changes.

Should be a decent set-up though ya reckon?
 
i assume thats dre's old gear! well his car wasnt too bad.. just abit heavy.. the car wont be as zippy as my stock turbo.. but it will have more get up and go.. (hit harder).. i dont see why you shouldnt get into the 11s with around 20psi.

Yeah Dre's old gear. I used to have a Big-16G (Which i have now sold to Dave) and the relativly quick spool up was nice but i think i'm gonna like the bit more up and go that Dre's old gear is gonna give me.
