id get the ralliart... plug n play, not plug n play & tune & re-tune & re-tune again cos its still not right..

So you'd rather pay $1900 or however how much it is for a chipped ecu??

RALLIART ECU

I have been qtd $1500 to chip an EVO VIII & was advised to steer clear of it by a trusted mechanic who has done considerable work on EVO's, a PNP Motec would cost about $3,500 + tuning, this would be the ideal if I lived in Brisbane or any other Capitol City.
The Ralliart ECU costs around $1600, it is PNP also, it has more aggresive Maps & will allow slightly higher boost, combined with a Blitz IColour EBC, I am hoping this will overcome the boost spiking in the VIII.
It can't be to bad, it's developed by Ralliart R&D, & used by Notaras Racing in the Duttons.

PICK YOUR TUNER BEFORE YOUR ECU.

well id say come to adelaide, Jaustech, one of Motec's best tuners will do it installed and tuned for around $2500 ish, or a Autronic for a little more.. and these will yeid much bigger gains. My mate has an evo 8, with Autronic, FMIC & piping, HKS cams, and a 3" exhaust and puts out 250 at all four, on a chassis dyno.

they are a great ecu the ralliart , i had one in my evo 7 it make alot of difference torque and power

same, i would go with the flash. Will give you similar results without the price tag. Got mine done for 250 at mates rates but im pretty sure i know a tuner who might do it for 500 in melbourne.
