Hey all.

Bought my 97 RVR HSG about a month ago and am really happy with it.

Although, one thing that's really bugging me is the pieces of vinyl that are stuck over the holes for the rear bar lights, and the missing step thing on the left. They were like this when I bought it :(

Just wondering if anyone knows where to source these? ... Looks messy!

i might have some spare step panels that i could offload, and might even sell my rear lights as changing to different rear bar

Interesting that there are no lights in the rear bumper

When converted for ADR compliance the top lights are disconnected and the ones in the bumper are converted to stop, tail and turn lights
A manky looking reversing light is also added

(yes I know it's stupid but that's the way it is)

If only the original lights are connected they do not comply with ADR's due to the position of the rear wheel which makes the light pattern not symmetrical.

Mine accidentally got rewired and came back on.

Woah that explains so much to me now. Ive always wondered why i was always seeing different rear bumper lights to mine, and also why the top lights would never work even though all the elements in the bolbs were intact. So how would i go about accidentally rewiring these rear lights? Ive noticed under the drivers side seat i have a disconnected plug but cant seem to find the other end to it? could this be it?

Depends how it was wired.
Mine had the bulb holders taken out of the Brake/tail lights and used to convert the lights in the bumper.
The turn indicator bulb holder had also been taken out.
All of the wiring was re routed to the bumper lights

Had to unwrap some of the loom and chase up the wiring.

All my lights in the bumper and the real place are now wired in parallel (Like Xmas with the brakes and turn indicators on)
It a bit like wiring in a trailer plug

Have a look in here

http://www.ledautolamps.com/

Some of these are close to the right size but the hole in the bumper may need some adjustment
I was going to do this but found there was air where I had to put in the fixing screws.

These, or very similar, are often on ebay at a much cheaper price than retail

hey do you have any idea where to get the dual filament T10 bulbs for the parkers so my turning lights can work again?

^^ I'd be keen to know this too.

Just to add to this, I bought mine with all rear lights working, but blacked out the bumper lights (except for the reverse lights) and now just run the main rear lights. Looked retarded having 5 brake lights and I hated the cheap look of the bumper lights...the black just blends in to the body colour now and looks cleaner. Plus I have smoked out side and front indicators so it all flows well..
