but under serious strain it will still react more like a FWD than a RWD in that it tends to understeer long before it comes around on you.

As most know my old VR4, complete with AWS would oversteer pretty much on demand, and keep up (push) with any EVO we had on any cruise in the twisty's
Pitty my VI didn't do so well

Are the viscous rears worth putting in or is it a case of "if ur gonna go through with q swap, may aswell go 4 bolt mech"??

I wanted to keep 4WS if possible so for me 3bolt is the only option. Also, viscous LSD's don't need annual maintenance like mech's.

There are plenty of 4bolt viscous lsd's with the 4ws gear.

You won't find a mech with 4ws in either 3 or 4 bolt.
