Recomended wideband

Hey Thomas do you have a recomended wideband? I would be aiming to use it in the factory front position and use narrowband simulation. Any others running this setup over here?
 
+1 they seem to have the least problems from reading problems people have with other brands.
You have the install carefully though.
 
yeah go for the innovate
easy to use/install.
just remember to install the sensor last as you have to have it in the fresh air to calibrate it.

My only issue is that they seem to play up a bit on the VR4. On the AMG is it fine. I'm not sure if it is a faulty unit but I have ordered a new one for the VR4.

They are easy to install and setup.

Baz you running them in the stock location or somewhere else along the chain? Do you use them just for monitoring the ratio or feed them into your ECU also?

Do you get it go silly after the car seems ot heat up and display numbers in the 20-21:1 range all erratic. Then sometimes it just reads 7.4 like when its warming up an no signal. Every other time it works fine as i can se it cycling properly as i left the narrow band in as a reference point so i know its working properly. Its either going stupid or works perfect, never reads slightly wrong.
I ordered a new sensor a few days ago ill see how that goes. It could be coz i used nulon octane boost that turns everything orange, but the info says that the chemical that used doesn't stuff sensors, maybe it does to a wide band but not narrow bands.
 
i'm running an AEM wide band, seems fine if it wasn't as cheap as it was, i would have gone LC-1...
 
AEM wideband here too. Great solid unit at a good price.
I was told to stay away from the Innovate brand from my tuner due to problems he has experienced with them.
What tuner says tuner gets I says lol :)
 
Seem like the aem's need a bit more setting up than the innovate to work with the ecmlink though to get it logging the same as your gauge reads.
 
I recommend to do a few searches in Google for comparison reviews between AEM vs Innovate widebands or any other electrical add-ons to a car for that matter. Reading up on other people's/tuner's experiences helps you make an informed decision that you'll be comfortable with when it comes time to part with the $$ ;)
 
I ended up finally getting the LC-1 as ECMLink now stock them! Will start wiring the thing up soon and see how it all goes.
 
I have the innovate mtx, I had issues with the first one, but because I bought it in australia it was exchanged promptly.
No issues with the new one.
Easy to read gauge and simulating nb on ecmlink.
I did put some exhaust wrap on the first 12" of lead as I have no heat shielding on the dump, turbo or manifold.
 
Im talking about the "grounding concerns" section in the manual.

The grounging concerns relate mostly to US cars where there are problems associated with the engine not have a great connection to the chassis.
This causes a voltage difference between the engine, where the LC-1 is connected via the exhaust pipe and the electronics that is connected to the body.
I don't think Mitsubishi cars would be a problem unless there is a broken wire.
I have had an LC-1 since 2009 and it's perfectly reliable.
George's comment re initial calibration is a good point to bear in mind, tho' if you let the car sit overnight apparently that is sufficient.
You need to recalibrate periodically so unscrewing it every 6 months is a pain.
