Help Support 4GTuner:

Vbrace behind rear seats....aerial on rear quarter...climate control...rear wiper...fog light switch/s above drivers vent are a few more items to look for. Number stamped on drivers side firewall will reveal the truth.

Yeah guys, I got some info. Its an Evo III built in 1995 but it has a 1993 CC Lancer compliance plate on it. No matching CC Lancer chassis number stamped on the strut tower. Registered in WA as a CC Lancer.
Take from that what you will and the risks associated with it.

Better question.....how much are you looking at for yours Nigel?
Not really Jamo. If Nigel isn't planning on selling but Romeo offered the right figure he might be tempted.
Unless you wanted to buy it? In which case you might want to pmhom an offer and see if you can prise it away from him

ie not registrable anywhere else in Australia and has a crap insurance value since it's technically only worth the same as a cc lancer sedan to any insurance company

it's a rebirth of a std cc lancer using a evo. very very dodgey while yes it is genuine evo 3 when it comes time to have identity confirmed for rego you'll get a very very stern looking at

everythings for sale at the right price haha

i did have mine up for sale but i got sick of the low balls and decided to keep it. was looking at an asx but i have my ute now and it would love a turbo!

as for a price i rather people send me offers, i wrote up a mod list and had a couple offers that would be good for a gsr lol

23k and ill have it tuned straight away. built 2.0, haltech ps2000, precision 5031e (brisvr4's old turbo), will have a dual tune and car runs a flex sensor, cars just been resprayed in the factory Pyrenees black, has the original oz wheels and alot more
.

bit out of my price range :( plus I know its going to be a miracle but I want to get as close to stock evo 3 as possible

i was going the stock route with mine, but would take me a fair bit of time to go back to stock, i have most of the pieces, just to time consuming.

Ive done alot of homework into this. I was looking at a griggs evo 3 from VIC. which are a glorified evo 3. So Keep away from them.

I ended up finding my evo 3 Yellow plate in the trading post. I kept the add then rang the guy back 3 months later to see if he had it and he did. He wanted alot of money but I loved the car and knew I would have it for a long time so I grabbed my balls and jumped. 11 years on I still have it, I live in NSW and are about to put it back on the road to take the family up to byron, with a Pod on the roof hahahah. fit the prams in it.

Ive heard there are about 25 Yellow plate imports. They are still worth the around the same money I paid for it back then.

So Romeo if you want one make it happen, keep an eye out , I know of a guy who sold his one last may from canberra that was beautiful.
