Hey There,
Any chance anyone here has removed their airbag steering wheel and would like to enlighten me on how to do it without getting an airbag to the face? :p
Cheers
Shaun

remove the battery and also da airbag fuses. And let it sit for a bit.

Air bags have a secondary power system in case of an accident and wipes out the battery or wiring! Would be a good idea to check the workshop manual

I swapped out the airbag wheel in my daily (Verada) for a Nardi Torino from a Legnum on Friday....

I discon'd the battery terminals, then un-did the 2x torx screws on either side (i'm assuming it's the same for RVR's).

Next the whole horn pad comes out with the air bag stuck to it. Discon the main wire that goes into the airbag then the horn wire, and you should be able to remove it completely.

Next there's the 17mm socket for the steering wheel. Remove that (use a wheel brace if you don't have a 17mm) and leave the nut on a couple of turns then pull the steering wheel loose. It might need some solid yanks and a tap around the wheel to get it loose. Once loose, undo the nut completely, and you're done.....

P.S These Nardi's should fit RVR's too... There's was a little bit more fucking around for me as I had to fit the cruise control stalk from my original wheel onto this one, but it turned out perfect

Just as Clutz described. It's very very easy. I have a Mitsubishi MOMO steering wheel off a Evo V on my HSGR. Looks alot better than the bus driver model that comes with it.

Just make sure the battery is disconnected for 5 mins before undoing anything. The torx screws should be a t30, but clutz got it in one.

So would i be right in saying that an Evo SRS steering wheel should bolt straight onto a RVR?

Dre it's a bitch to fit, but I got a mate to turn me up an alli bush & I cross drilled it to fit this Evo 7 wheel on my RVR

Cheers !

Did anyone from here buy that same evo7 wheel on eBay that went for $355?? I was keen on it, but went over my budget...
