I am in the process of stripping down 4 GSR doors for my VR4.

After taking everything off it should be loose. You need to pull hard at the top near the window to pop it off. Then it should slide up as it had hooks at the bottom.

Getting the loom out is not super fun though. And make sure the windows are down before you take it off or it will be a bitch to undo the glass from the runner.

If need be I can take a photo of the back of the insert so you can see all the clips.

yea bro that would be nice if you could take a photo also i have no battery so winding the windows down isnt an option

Ok here are my pics, hope the help.

On the inside i circled the things that hot it on aftr you have undone all screws.

On the outside i circled all the screws you need to undo. And the green circles are ones i think exist but can't remember and I am trying not to have to go back into the garage :p

Should probably go do the remaining doors so if your stuck on anything in particular I will be able to help more later tonight.

Nup, Almost all door trims are the same.

Just make sure you undo everything, for the first one prolly easiest to take evrything off. Then when you get it off find out what must come off and what doesn't.

To get the clips off, pull the whole trim UPWARDS sharply from the bottom. then grab either end under the window and repeat. Otherwise they break.

The galant GSR and VR4 rear doors are definately NOT the same! The vr4 rear doors are about 50mm taller in the window frame..

It sits up near the bottom of the A Pillar,it only goes one way comfortablly, look at the marks on the body and inside the guard, youll see where it was sitting, goes right up in the corner to space the panel and stop any vibration etc .

OK.

I can now tell you that GSR doors definately DO NOT fit a VR4

Anybody interested in 2 rear GSR doors :S.

Oh and the weight difference between RS and standard doors, even though the GSR doors are smaller is definately noticeable.
