Hi guys

One of my front shocks is leaking so is an MoT advisory. I obviously want to replace it asap, but my question is, is it best to replace both front struts as a pair? It seems to be the common sense option.

My alternative is to import a set of the KYB SR Special shocks all round and a set of RSR springs from Japan, but that may be a touch pricey for my liking!

TIA!

If the other shock is the original then I would replace both.

Having a new shock on one side and the other being 20 years old wouldn't be ideal for handling.

Just ordered a pair of replacement KYB shocks in the end. Going down the standard route, I was always going to change them as a pair, but just wondered really whether it was essential (like discs/pads) or just highly recommended. I'm a fan of symmetry on both the RVR and the Legnum, such as I always replace all four tyres at the same time - getting a puncture in one when they have worn down a few mm is my worst nightmare!
