Roof rust dilemma

Yeah the glue creates some kind of chemical reaction when it breaks down causing cancer, brain tumours and the Ebola virus.
You can use rust converter if you have small holes and separate the skin from the ribs.... but you would want to make sure you blasted the surfaces or gave it a good rough sand before applying the converter - because its like the Steven King movie - Sometimes they come back!
In every instance I have seen roof rust occur, the only fix was to replace the roof and use a different silicon based glue.
Quick fixes almost never last.

How much are these carbon roofs? I have a new genuine one to install but my panel guy is thinking of gluing it back in and not welding... Makes me think go carbon..

On another note when you sell a car you can't dictate the outcome. If someone wants to paint it link and put tri chrome wheels on it that is their decision.
Yeah but if I price it we'll enough and get enough interest I can at least assess the "resume" of the potential buyer ( and get an idea if they will massacre it or not) ;)

Glueing the roof panels and body panels on is common practice these days on many cars..Including new cars, with only a weld in each corner.
