RS Identification.

I Have a front cut on my hands and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is an RS model or not,Here are some details.

Bonett-has 2 nostrils in the centre,has a steel underside heat garnish,seems to be standard weight.

Front Bar-Has the updated driving lights and has an extra bit of grill down the bottom near where the bottom of the cooler sits.

Interior-Velour pillar and roof,climate control etc.

I.D tags-says its an E39a and the transmission code is W5M33.

I thought most R.S's where e38a..?
if so why would this E39A have all the extras,bonnet,front bar etc...
where they factory options?
and is the intercooler any different on an R.S?

Sounds like a monte.

RS and E0 had a different transmission code too I think due to being 3.9 ratios. Might be one of those "Super VR4"'s that crop up occasionally too.

What colour are the injectors?
What's it say on the intake manifold?

Ill find out more today.
the inlet manifold is a cyclone and the car is black in colour.

Would this car have a 16G?
What numbers are written on a 16G?
would the cooler be different?

Cooler piping is bigger on an rs. as for cooler , not sure but id think it would be bigger if not the innlet/outlet would be..

If its the later RS its got the Big 16g.

RS Don't ahve climate control and are e38a so its def not an rs.

As guys said monte/evo0/svr4 are most likely.

All RS's are E38a, and WHITE.

People get confused when they call EVO 0's RS's.

The intercoolers are slightly taller, as taller as the little extended vent in the bumper.


What colour is the one you have??

510's yellow top
W5M33 3909....that mean a 3.9 ratio.?
49178-01 written on the turbo.. E3 16G?

what are the power differences between the monte/evo0/svr4/RS

i think i had an RS model front cut...it had the vents, TD05 big 16g, yellow top 510cc injectors, and the shorter ratio gearbox

oh and it was white in colour.

240ps compared to 220ps

210ps for the auto VR4's.
