Hey Guys

Finally did my engine transplant in my vr4, now has a late rs engine big 16g.

Have datalogged it due to the engine light coming on at idle. Its coming up with a CE #25 Barometric pressure sensor.

The car is also running a bit rich, i have the sard set at 20psi fuel press at idle. bit low??

I have swapped ecu's and also the air flow meter and still no change.

Timming set at 10 deg BTDC. running factory standard AFM (for now)

Cheers
Ben

the sard should be set to 40psi at idle with no vacuum source

barometric pressure sensor = afm, which afm are you using?

1G/2G NT FPRs are rated at 47.6psi at zero psi (meaning with the car idling, disconnect the vacuum hose to the FPR, and plug it with a golf tee, bolt, or your finger), the 1G Turbo FPRs are rated at 36.3psi at zero psi, the 2G Turbo FPRs are rated at 43.6psi at zero psi. What this means is that at idle (assuming a healthy engine with stock cams, which should have roughly 18-20" of vacuum), 1G/2G NT fuel pressure should be around 39psi, the 1G turbos should be around 27psi, and 2G turbos should be around 35pi (because 2" vacuum equals roughly 1psi). On a 1G turbo, you should have roughly 41psi at 5psi boost, and 51psi at 15psi boost.

so your looking for just over 36psi with the vacuum hose off.

No worries, cheers.

iam running everything in atm, so ill re adjust the reg.

found a vac leak so idles fine now but the engine light is still coming on occasionaly with a #25 fault..?

Iam running the factory j spec vr4 AFM

The ecu is Dre's old RS ecu with another chip. Not exactly sure what he wrote on it but i told him at the time what it was going in.

Have adjusted the reg now and gave it a boost up to 4.5k hits around 13 pound but is slow as shite. could the check light have something to do with this??

Cheers

Isn't the base timing supposed to be set at +5deg BDC?
