Hey guys, so im new to 4gtuner, bought my 94 rvr sports gear in november 2012 and just recently got it up and running. It's a cool lil ride but the auto is **** and looks like its about to give way, looking for another auto if anybody could hook us up. cheers

I bought the car for $500, that was my 1st of many problems lol.
na the auto is so **** and leaves lakes of tranny fluid wherever I park, won't have anything to do with oil or filters, its a rebuilt motor i'm clocking the first K's in it

Im talking about the oil and filters on the auto, not the engine...

So what are your options here?
Fix your auto. $100-$1000
Replace with second hand auto. $600-$2500 (maybe its as bad as yours and needs $1k spent on it?)
Convert to manual. $2k+

These autos powers cars in the states into 10s 1/4 times. STOCK.

My advise is get it on some ramps and give it a clean. Then you can see where the oil is coming from.
Maybe a axle seal or cooler line. If its the tranny sump.Get a filter and fresh oil Iin the GEARBOX and new gasket to keep the oil in.
Its probably changing like crap because its low on oil...
I mean gearbox oil...

Hey 'jack of all' or 'Rockabilly', is it true that the Auto filter and gasket is the same as a TR Magna?

I can get a kit down here from the local auto dealer but I'm unsure whether it will actually fit.

Cheers,

hey guys, so last night driving home from work turned and began accelerating and all of the sudden the car went full throttle without my foot on the pedal, finally managed to pull over. left the car for like 20 minutes and now makes the ugliest sound when put it into P and D. thoughts, opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Throttle body spring prob or cabble sticking ?
I'd say the forward clutch pack plates are bent & locking up. I do away with the wave spring
in there & machine a thicker piston plate. The RVR tcu is programed to bleed off presure to
prevent it breaking 2nd, but that causes the clutches to slip & bite mild unless you redline
each gear. If the plan is just a run around daily, get it rebuilt std down there. If you want
it to handle up & down shift daily abuse & big hp, I can build you one.
Cheers
