So far Ive done some diggin on the forum and i'm interested in people thoughts here what oil/fluid you use for the engine, gear box, rear diff/transfer case oil....etc As I'll need to do my oil/fluid changes and maintenance very soon and im preparing my shopping list.

My RVR is a hypergear sport with 4G63T i think it has the Manual W5M3 or W5M33 gearbox?

Heres my current list. If theres something I'm missing, please let me know.

- Engine: Motul Turbolight 10W-40
- Gearbox: (?????)
- Transfer case and rear diff: Limslip 90
- Radiator coolant: (?????)
- Brake fuild: (?????)
- Power steering fluid: (?????)

Wae

I use the red long life coolant in mine,
Power steering fluid it doesnt really matter which one, just make sure its not a no name
Havent changed brake fluid yet but i'll let you know ;)
Cant remember what i used in gearbox but it was expensive..just avoid that royal purple shit!

Yeh, I'm kinda confusing what stuffs to use on the car. Had some searches on the net, came back some info for the gearbox, transfer case and rear diff oil. Has any one uses REDLINE 80W-140 GL-5 GEAR OIL for their transfer case and rear diff?

Umm found some oilsl for gearbox aswell....

Any more suggestion and thanks those who replied

Bit of a bump, anyone got any recommendations for gearbox ? that site the links have thier have a heap, but i'm hoping someone can point me in a more definitive answer. I've come across a few sites that say the boxes will crunch with certain oils in them ?

I'm looking to do full driveline ( Box/Front diff and rear diff).

Thanks
Pete.

I remember I was using the redline for my gearbox, its running pretty good. I'll let u know once I've reach back home in a few days

Would be good please, so far i've found :

DEX3
Duragear 75W85
VMX-M

I'm going to have to do it soon, i don't have any service info on this car at all.

I ended up with Castrol VMX-M for the front diff and transfer case, and used a Pennrite Limslip 90 which is a 80-90 for the rear diff. Seems to have worked fine, no new weird noises, and has produced a better shifting now.

This oil thing is an ongoing query and there is so much opinion around it's hard to make a decision

I generally use a Penrite 10-40 or 10-50 for the motor
(Anything thinner and smoke comes out) Seems to be OK

Still I am not pushing big horses and generally drive like a granny with the occasional bust of enthusiasm
(LOL typo BURST of enthusiasm)

As mine is an auto I stuck with the Mitsibishi ATF 4 'coz I was too scared to try anything else.
Apparently Dexron is not good for Mitsi autos

I have no idea ATM what got put into the diff, transfer case or rear diff at the major service (that's if it got changed at all)
Like you I am wondering still what I should use
