RVR turbo 4g63t engine auto diff cams?

hey guys,
i am using a RVR 4g63t engine, pretty much the same as a evo engine, it used to be an auto.
does anyone know if they would have different cams being an auto engine?
if so, good, bad?

RVR's run milder cams and a TD04 turbo i beleve. Not sure if the auto is diff again though. Ment to still make 160kwatw with a few tweeks.

well i am running a different turbo anyway. i have been told they are the same specs as evo 1 and 2. but never had any proof.

I have read that RVR has different cams, (milder) than the EVO engines, I think CVAP has a set of Evo 3 cams on there website for sale, or you could just get some 272's thay seem to be a popular choice.

Yeah the autos only have a TD04 and less aggressive cams, whereas the manuals have the real deal - big 16G (mine's now 20G) and E3 cams. I'm putting 272's in mine shortly though Cheers

thanks for the info guys, mine will be off to the dyno sometime soon hopefully so i guess ill find out for sure then. i am running a hyper sport b16g turbo on it so still hope it can do some good numbers still. not after anything crazy, but if i dont do some decent numbers ill have to do more research and see what i can do. can get a hold of evo cams easy as.

hey guys, sorrry to bring up an old thread....but can anyone confirm if

vr4 cams are the same as Evo 3 cams? i recently put 272's in mine the

camtech one but it seems to have shifted all my power to the higher

range of the rpm scale. im thinking of going to vr4 of E3 ones.

Who told you that?

Somehow I doubt they would match the E2/3/VR4 cams to a TD04

Also, the SSG has a TD04 aswell so they would have the same cams as the HSG auto.

ummmmm some of it but im not sure of how much of it at the moment dre......im leterally in the middle of making cooler piping for the rvr.....its in bits in my shed
