Any ideas? My RVR has an ADDZEST ARX 5450 6 stack CD & cassette player.
So far by holding down the random & pressing the #4 button until the time is displayed then releasing both and holding both down for a few seconds the clock goes into setting mode. I can then manipulate the rocker switch to set the hour and minute. Then by pressing the #4 button again it stores the time. Good you think? But nooooo! Some how in the frenzied pressing of buttons to work this sequence out the clock will only display minutes and seconds and I can't get it back AARRRGH! I can't be the only one who has one of these!
:fuuuuu: :fuuuuu: :fuuuuu:

Who needs the time on the stereo when you got the big clock and compass??

Those crazy Jap stereos are near impossible to use! I had a Panasonic double din in my RVR and I had to google the model number to get the manual.....

Might be an idea.....!

Yes changing it would be good but it is such a challenge. Why do they make it so bloody hard to do such a simple thing?

My hypergear doesn't have a compass (I don't really care where I'm going)

Are you sick of the RVR yet Dan? (no I didn't think so)

ADDZEST ARX 5450 Clock Set

I've done it! It bugged me and I had nothing else to do. I know it's probably useless info but here goes!

Press and hold "BAND"
Press "DISP" (#4) until clock is displayed
Release both buttons
Press and hold both buttons until clock display flashes, release both and then use rocker switch on left to adjust time (you can work that bit out for yourself)
Press "BAND" to store time.
(This starts the clock on the minute and the seconds start counting up from 00)

To toggle clock display off or on Hold "BAND" and press "DISP" until you get what you want

And here is the one i wanted:

To toggle display between hrs:mins / mins:secs hold "BAND" and press segment of switch on left marked "A M".

'Tis a sweet thing to win against the infernal machine.
Since re-soldering all the broken connections in the head and the broken wire crushed under the back seat rail ALL of the lights, buttons and speakers work the way they were meant to.
All I have to do now is find some tail/stop light bases that fit so I can rewire the tail lights (stupid ADRs)

The machine won in the end
The AdZest stacker started skipping and the head died
So I bought a Pioneer head with blue tooth, usb and no stacker

Damn me if all the wire colours for the pioneer match the AdZest so it is being a simple job to change

I now have instructions so setting the time will be easy

I also replaced the blown lights in the Climate control so I can see the buttons in the dark and actually read the display easily for the first time ever. Woot!

All I have to do now is rip the stacker and wiring out which may mean pulling off lots of trim and maybe taking out the back seat

I will also have a go at fixing the air vent louvers which point in all directions and finding the annoying rattle at the bottom of the dash console.

The fog lights seem to be totally useless in fog or anywhere else for that matter
