shifter cables nightmare

so after getting 3 sets of shifter cables and them all being the same length despite that the should be 3 different lengths i am stuck up shit creek again... i have a C50PH box in my aspec and i need to know what cables will fit, will the gsr galant ones fit and do the job or will i need to find some pre facelift jspec ones.

any help asap would be excelent

i managed to get them in, finally, and now it seems to shift ok, just underneath changing a driveshaft seal, fun...

If you have 3 sets of shifter cables....is at least one of them a Jspec one?

Hepil is looking desperately for a set of jspecs to get his on the road.

sorry mate, my 2 spare sets are both aspec ones which are slightly longer than jspec.

Im in the middle of the shifter cable nightmare myself, after giving my old units to a workshop to get them rebuilt they sent them away and have come back not fitting properly.

I went and seen the workshop today and they said they were built using the old ones as a guide, well...if they were, wouldnt they fit?? one cable fits alright, however the second cable is about 3 inch too long in the cable causing all sorts of fitting problems and the bushes are far to long.

I can see this becomming a big headache that i will no doubtly regret th choice to go custom.
