Baz, where did you get your one from?

ive been looking at a few sites but they dont have them, i emailed slowboy and their "1g" shifter wont fit

who can weld?
there are a few ways u can make one..
as for mine..

*secret*
=)

u want one?
ill get you one..

Have you guys spoken to Mikey in Syd about this? He makes wicked ones, I grabbed one of the GSR ones he makes, its awesome, the throw is seriously reduced, but still comfortable, and the height is great as well!

He does exchange + $$, very happy with his work.

Dino.

MachV in Yankeeville have a Fidanza shifter... http://www.machv.com/fishsh.html

slowboy rekons the fidanza ones wont fit GVR4's.

I wanted to get an off the shelf product so I can give DjB my old shifter.

If it comes down to it, i'll get someone to cut and weld my existing one, but i'd prefer an actual made shifter, but it seems like there aint many roads i can go down!

baz- why is it such a secret?

6mm bolts + nuts + washers are available off the shelf. :D
IMO the sideways movement is already short enough, it's just the fwd/back movement that needs attention.

Drilling a new hole in the shifter arm on the trans works a treat, use the bolt + 2 washers + 2 nuts to fix it to the cable.
Drill the hole just before the bend in the arm, cuts the through to just over half, will feel real short to start with, but is about right once you are used to it.

cost?? under $5. :p and reversable if you don't like it

i saw that trick also!

looks good!..

whats wrong with DJb's shifter?

i have a stock gvr4 cut shifter if u want one..

I remember seeing this done on VFAQ, and I also remember you telling me to do this mod.

I spoke to mikey from sydney, he needs the whole shifter mechanism to make it work, which isnt really ideal cos he's in sydney :x

I just dont like how high the stock shifter sits so high, and want it brought down a little.

Perhaps I should cut it a little, and do the shifter mod?

VFAQ shifter mod will let you "over-shift", because you loose the effect of the bumpstops in the shifter. You need to alter the lever lengths at the shifter, hence would rather get a replacement shifter.
