i'm going to be selling my vr4 in a few months. i'm wondering weather to take the engine out (my 478kw set up) and put it in my 77 galant my dad built. it currently has a fj20 in it. what do people think? is it worth the trouble or not?
should i swap?

Thats alot of power for a rwd, there will be alot of supporting mods needed, i saw on here or gvr4 a red one from S/A for sale with the 4g conversion and i immediately wanted one( I want everything!!!),

if the fj20 is already in the 77 galant i would leave it, they are a decent enough motor especially in an old galant. but i would also keep the 4g if it was putting out that much power and stick it in something else.
why are you selling the vr4? im guessing you wouldnt get much without the 400++kw motor and then you would prob have to source another 4g63 to put in its place.

The best idea would be to swap my motor into the old Galant and put that pesky 400+kw motor into mine :thumbsup:

FJ for a 4G, only if you want to prove a point.
The FJ is an awesome motor BUT a 4G would be much better (cool factor)...
Is the FJ built? I'm sure you'd get some decent cash for the FJ in saying that.... Use that cash to buy your replacement motor for the galant...

Keep the FJ in the car. is it a FJ20ET? or just an NA FJ? FJ's are a good motor. built properly they put down some decent power.
yeah the FJ20ET stocky is already in it with a skyline gearbox, cortina radiator, scorpion rear diff(going to a hilux).
i'm not going to be selling my car at the start of next year as i might be heading overseas for a few months.
i plan to give the vr4 a run at willowbank later this year when i get my license back and bring the car up from syd.
but i want to keep hold of the motor for now, but just thinking that was a better in the 77 than just having the motor sitting.
cause i've got 2 cars sittng at my parents doing nothing i don't has space in qld for the 2 cars.
