Probably very similar to what we're paying each year.

We bit the bullet and financed our initial event guarantees out of our own pockets, and then chased sponsorship to cover that cash. Surprise surprise, it worked, and now we make a bit of money from sponsorship and pump that into running bigger & better events.

Now how about you guys do the same and stop looking for excuses as to why you dont do stuff?

I took twice that amount of time to read it at least one thoroughly and then a few more times before realising any comment in that section wouldnt do squat. Its all about maturity and restraint. DO NOT for a second, assume that WE are ALL are a bunch of wingers! As it is simply not true.
You guys should be impressed, flattered and honoured that we would wish to join you, in some awesome fun on the track and compete feverishly against you and in SOME cases, whip a few of your EVOs which SHOULD stand on the pinnicle of mitsubishi motorsport development over 20+ years!
Even though you wont let us compete, I can still appreciate where you are coming from and respect that. I hoped one day to join you guys in some fun as I have experienced the thrill of circuit/sprint racing with your Townsville members and the competition is so high!
All this despite the fact that most of us on T4G don't own an Evo we STILL want to join you in the spirit of competition and you should feel something from that, you really should!
As for your roots/linage from early Mitsubishi models up to the Evos that you love and revere, perhaps you need to do some research and get into the real history about how the Evo came about?
Early Chrysler Lancers,Lancer EX GSRs, Starion 4WDs, Cordia 4WDs. Then the Galant VR4,which met the Lancer GSR 4WD 1.8L turbo(which I drive and seems to be forgotten in the Lancer Evolution story sometimes ) and then the marriage into>>>> The Evolution lancer!
Just remember, if it wasnt for these early pioneer cars there would be no Lancer Evolution.....

Now the interesting thing will be if they allow any Lancer Ralliart owners to run seeing as they are being so strict about it.

Well here's the ******* thing Dave;

THIS forum is largely older models, evolutionoz is largely Evo 6 and newer. Fact. You can see it in the posts made in each section.

Now, do you see people on evolutionoz pissing and moaning about not being allowed in your events? No! You know why? Because you dont ******* organise anything!

The Admins of evolutionoz actually got off their arse and put some things together for the Evo driving community. Just like many of you, we're all busy people who mostly run our own businesses, but we made the time to do it! All I see over here when it comes to events being mooted is a group of guys who stamp their feet, when (for very valid reasons), they're excluded by virtue of what they drive from evolutionoz events, but cant get out of their own way and put something together over here! Lots of "i'm too busy to do something" ********, the same **** that GSR50L got fed back to him on here when he asked for volunteers to step up and help with vendor management.

This place is labelled Team4G, thus you openly cater for every incarnation of the 4G63/4G93 etc etc.... thus when YOU run an event of course there wont be any freaking 'discrimination'. WE run a place called evolutionoz, it caters (primarily) for owners of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions. Hence, our events are for owners of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions! Is that so hard for you all to accept??? We've never claimed we cater for all three diamond owners!
Go and organise your damn 4G63 Nationals/Team4G event and STOP the ******* bitching about not being able to attend evolutionoz's specific event ffs.
In other words, do some fricking work as a forum yourselves!

The Admin team is very small in comparrison to Evo-oz IE 5
2 of us are located a long way away from each other. Another 2 webmasters are in Adelaide.
The membership level is a third of what you guys have.
If you have 3700 members and like us only 20% are active most of the time, then you have a potential 740 members that will think about going then 10-20% of them members actually turn up you have 74-150 ppl there which would probably be about right for last years event?

We have 1700 members 320 of which are mostly active then the same figures would give us 32-64 ppl. Looking at the scale of things us versus you then our biggest event would be tiny and almost insignificant in comparison and attracting sponsors is harder. BUT not impossible.

Its little wonder why we would wish to join you really...

We will just have to start smaller and go from there....We of course would not discriminate against you guys and even invite you along for the ride. Im sure the exception could be the 4B11 It can still come!

If I recall correctly, my comment was that - unlike evolutionoz - where we DONT charge vendor fees (and never have), places like Team4G and galantvr4.org DO charge fees so obviously that money's being collected and going somewhere, so why not pump it back into events?

I didn't assert that anyone was getting rich off vendors, just that as we are a non profit that pumps every cent we receive back into the site and the events we run, perhaps Team4G Owners should do the same instead of bitching about evolutionoz's events?!

We dont make enough to support major or even minor events. We would have to ask for a separate prize/sponsorship specific to an event. Sponsorship only covers hosting fees.
