Sorry if it sounded detrimental. was just curious as to why he put as is if its perfectly fine except the tyres.

if its any consolation I am interested in the car hence the question

I doubt that it would be just the tyres that are needed and I never said it was perfectly fine as you put it. We are talking about an 18yr old car here and there is bound to be something a mechanic will pick on.
The tyres is the most obvious one with out getting under the car atm, tho I did endeavour to the best of my ability to keep it RWC when it was my daily driven car.

Had a better look over the car on the weekend, the front, rear and pasangers engine mounts will need to be replaced for RWC, other than that and the tyres was all that I could find.
