1982 mitsubishi ex lancer
Can be registered (have plates)
Super rare car in aust, even more so one that can be registered.
This is a project car that has had lots spent, but more work required.
Currently has a built 2.6lt astron engine with cam, extractors and twin 45mm webers. Carter fuel pump and thermo fans and a few other goodies.
Was told by previous owner that the engine build cost 4.5k and then 1200 for webbers and manifold on top.
Has had starion front brakes installed, most of the suspension bushes have been changed to nolathane, un known brand springs (heavy duty) and has koni shocks and does handle quite well.
Body is straight, has had rust spots fixed and resprayed and generally in good condition for its age.
Interior is average condition. Front race seats arent bad but are faded. Back seat has cover over it never looked under. Have the door trims but they are in average condition. Also have the turbo dash setup for it but not installed. Nice nardi steering wheel.
The bad points:
Drivers window needs to be installed, havent been bothered as it sits in my shed under a cover
Pass window bit dodgy
Webers badly need a tune, it drives ok once going, doesnt start easy i dont know bugger all about them.
I have a Mitsubishi starion complete car lined up for an engine conversion for this car (has seized balance shaft)will get more details as required.
I also have some extra waiting to go with this car, full lsd disc brake setup from jap turbo model, spare low km jap gearbox from turbo model. Cusco front strut tops from s13, front roll center adjusters and strut brace to mod to fit also.
I bought this car with the intension to build it up and have some fun in a nice rare car, but due to changes in my life i am just not getting the time required to give it justice. Will be sad to see this car go, but want to see someone build it to the great fun car it can be.
Ok. The OZ racing wheels do not come with the car, ill provide something for it to go on. For a little extra i will provide some super light wedsport racing wheels for it.

Nice, it's just asking for a Cordia motor or Starion motor. They came with the 1.8L 4G62 in Japan, with 118 kW in a nice, light RWD shell.

Oh my god that is SO HOT... haha... uh is it registered with the astron?

Incidentally.. if this is still around when the RVR sells, I think I'll consider it as a daily :D

to tell you the truth, im not sure, i have never checked the two engine numbers, but cant see why it couldnt be. would need some work for a daily, its stupid loud with straight through exhuast, and webers wouldnt be friendly

thanks mate, i saw yours didnt sell sadly, so wish i could have got yours and make one mint road reg version.

there you go everyone, but shannons and mine and make one super sweet car and have spares to suit also!

Yeah no sale, but heaps of lowball offers. I wish i could buy yours too. Put my running gear, interior, wheels and suspension in your shell would make for a sweet ride indeed.

hey if someone wants to buy both i am willing to remove some parts to make it cheaper if need be.

man that one is sweet, lot of money but hey. same engine and gearbox as in the starion i have lined up, and i have the turbo lsd disc brake diff for it also. my interior need work comparied to that but hey. like you said piles in NZ, bugger all over here.

Can't believe this hasn't sold yet. If I was in Aus I would have snapped it up by now.
