My pads are fairly squeaky when a certian amount of pressure is applied to the brake pedal, if u push hard it will go away and really softly it wont do it but in the middle they sqeal.. I have lucas pads up front with about 80% meat, and standard ones up back (i pressume) with also fair amount of meat.. Would the cause of this be simply dust or is something else up like discs aswell? Sorry bout the dumb ass question to :p

Cheers guys

A few things to try which may or may not do anything.
Make sure you have all the shims in behind the pads.
Make sure the slide pins are well greased.
File a chamfer on the leading edge of the pads and rub them on concrete to deglaze them.
Then go out and give the pads a hard time to rebed them in.

If they still do it, then it might just be something you will have to put up with. My DS2500 pads get a little squealy with light pedal pressure when I have been giving them a hard time.

GVR40: Haven't tried any anti squeel, might give it a crack.

rob323: Cheers mate will give this a go and let you know what happens.
