steering pump ??/

my sportsgear rvr manual is having some steering problem and i checked it with the mechanics its not working so its pretty much gone.... just wondering if the vr4 steering pump is the same for the rvrs?
if so are they cheap to purchase????

According to ASA, no they are not the same.

RVR specific

However, that could be down to the size of the pulley, the bracket adaption to the engine, etc.
Given the way Mitsu work you could possibly use a Vr4 or evo pump and adapt it.
Alternatively, source a pump from NZ where rvrs are a plenty for parts.

What exact symptoms are you experiencing with the steering?
