Help Support 4GTuner:

vr4 and evo are opposite

nut goes on the bottom on evos

have a look through the hole in the knuckle from the top down it will have a slight taper(if you haven't tightened them in there already)

Nut goes on the bottom for Evo II/III yes, but on the top for Evo I and GSR.

i had non evo ones for a while mate before i got the jointed ones, should be fine
just check them against the old ones prior to fitting them

Is there way to determine if hubs are EVO II/III and not EVO I. I imagine that I could look at the steering arm and look at the taper of the hole?

Similar question. Will Evo 3 rack attach to GSR hubs? I have a standard coupe rack with GSR rubs ATM. But have an Evo quick steer rack hanging around I might put on

Perfect. That's what I thought. But then I read above comments and was a little confused with people saying the racks mounted differently. Ha ha

The steering rack tie rod ends mounts upwards on the EVO2/3, while EVO1/GSR mounts downwards

Due to the knucles being tappered differently

[sup]Thanks but does that mean that its the same rack? Or do you need to change something on the E3 rack to make it fit an E1?[/sup]

The rack will bolt to the Kframe same as they all do. I think it means the hub attachment is slightly lower or higher on specific hubs so the arms on rack will be faced up or down to go through the hole. :)
