STOCK TUNNING SPEC FOR THE 4G63T

Hi Guys, can someone please tell me what a good compression reading is for the 4g63T, and what BTDC in degress is the stanard for the 4g63T, cheers.

From memory 160psi should be factory stock. Anywhere above 140 is pretty good though. Mine is only seeing about 145 or so on a 270000+ km motor so they last pretty well.
Timing should be about 5deg. You need to ground the timing plug on the firewall when setting timing too.

Hi mate, Have been reading up on " grounding timing on a 1g " on google, still having timing issues, is there a chance you could post a pic of the exact plug i need to ground on the fire wall, have had a look, and there are 3 different plugs that go to nowhere, would be very grateful, cheers.
