Stock vr4 vs Stock wrx?

Well i am fairly sure a wrx would win every time but i am curious off by how much? and what is needed modding wise to destroy the rexies?????

100% stock, a jspec has around the same amount of power
but the wrx is lighter
i'd say its more down to the drivers

what WRX are you talking, the earlier ones ran a 14.8 or somthing stock, so id be saying that a stock VR4 would beat a stock wrx

stock vr4 does high 14s too

I never lost to a stock WRX in my stock jspec.

Ever.

Lost to an STI once though. an 03 sti in silver with pink bits.

hehe pink bits, i lost to an 05 wrx sti by a car length in my slightly modded aspec (i.e filter and exhaust and higher boost)

first car I ever raced was a jap spec early WRX wagon (more powerful than the early aus models?), with my 2.5" pressbent p.o.s exhaust, beat it by a few lengths.

For some reason alot of rexers seem unwilling to sidestep the clutch at high revs :twisted:

It's a long time since i've seen a stock wrx, or a stock vr4 tho - I didn't think they actually existed anymore :lol:

I just gotta say this bit. I ran a stock Subaru same as WRX no turbo. He had his big exhaust and I had mine, he had his AWD I had my FWD.

Mate I smashed from go. We reved our cars and guned it at the lights. By the time I hit 60 he was a car length back. I decided to go to second, at around 80 I pulled out, there was no compation.

Haha smacked a stocko Subaru with my Hyundai (Mitsi under the bonnet). Hehe.

Thats cause their gearboxes shatter!! :lol: I've never side stepped the GF's WRX for that reason. Their not cheap to fix!

I recall once seeing a Legacy (liberty to you guys) about to race someone at the lights one friday nite, Revs go up, clutch goes out, there's an almighty great BANG and the RS rolls forward about a foot, then 4 guys jump out of it and push it across the intersection to the side of the road :lol: There was alot of cheering and shouting from the onlookers too.
