Street tyres

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

i'm running 595rsr's they are awesome.. sumch a massive improvement from the crap i used to run. highly recommended, heaps more grip straight out the box

Also weigh up how much of the tyre's life will be spent commuting and how much of it will be spirited driving. ie. no point paying big $$ for a tyre that grips like hell but due to its compound wears out in 12,000kms. Especially if 10,000kms was attributed to commuting to and from work .

KU31's FTW on the street without going for a close semi slick like KU36:thumbsup:

They grip well.

215/40/17

Unfortunately I bought the wrong size:thumbsdown: They scrub on my inner guard plastic on turns and car park bumps/gutters.

I never had that problem when I first bought the car on 205/40/17's

I was mainly after a bigger footprint on the road...

Well the KU36s are fitted I went with 205/50/R15 in the end. Even in the few kms I have done they feel alot stiffer than the C.Drives I had on there before. While I was waiting I looked at the KU31s and can see why they would be a great street tyre. If these wear out super quick I will look at moving to them... Or perhaps just get a daily :)

i think i paid around $600 for 235/45/17 for ku31 (inc delivery) and i got it from option 1 as well.
