Looking into getting new springs and shocks for my GSR. I have pretty much decided on KYB Excel-G shocks and RS-R coils.

With the RS-R coils, they have options for both the CD5A and the Evo 2/3. The CD5A's have a drop of 35-40mm front and 5-10mm rear, and the Evo coils have 35-40mm front and 25-30mm rear. Spring rates are the same.

There is no difference between GSR and Evo coils is there? Aside from the difference in height, I can't see any noticable difference. I just want to be 100% sure as I'll be importing them so don't really have the option of returning them if they're somehow different.

Thanks for the help.

The 2l engine is heavier than the 1.8.
I would take a guess that an Evo would be slightly heavier than the GSR with all the extras they have bigger brakes, bracing Recaros etc etc.
But the Evo has aluminum front end so that may change things too.
I dunno.....just my thoughts

Doesn't say where you are, but I think Meek has those shocks in stock. He might be able to do you a deal (eg its floor stock they might want to shift) and advise the best springs? I've found his advice pretty good in the past (ie based on real experience/comparison).
