can anyone tell me what colour the tacho wire is coming from the ignitor
Thanks
Brad

from memory should be white... someone correct me if i'm wrong here......

As the early ECU's dont have a Tacho out put signal from the ECU, it uses the Tach Interface to read the RPM and send it back to the ECU via the white wire.

if you want to make your RPM on your cluster work, you have to tap this wire for the signal....

Ok cheers but will it still work if i got a 88 jspec engine with a 90s loom using a jspec ecu and cluster in a 89 glant se fwd car? lol

all our clusters are the same... worst case just swap the RPM gauge in the cluster for a DOHC unit..

I run VR4 ECU in my 89 Galant GSR plug and play just needs some extra wires...

not much difference in loom, but the igniter pack changes, either your RPM signal comes from the coil packs or it will come from the igniter...

yeh no worries sounds fairly basic just needed to be pointed in the right direction. im still new to the whole wiring side of things so i always ask the noob questions lol
