TD04 lines on TD05

Hey guys,

Just bought myself a TD05 14b to put on my GSR... Currently running a standard TD04... Can I use the lines off the TD04 or do i need to buy TD05 lines?

you can use the td04 lines ...but......the banjo bolts for the TD05 are bigger. so you will need to carefully die grind the td04 lines to accept the bigger bolt........no biggie but you need to accurate as there isn't much meat left of the unions
 
replace the oil feed with a steel braided line with correct banjo fittings, (much safer) all the rest of the hoses/connections match up

I ran into the same problem when i was putting the turbo on a mates car last weekend with rob and the gang... the lines from the td04 were different in shape and banjo size? but we were putting it on a 4g63 not a 4g93? there must be a difference between the two engines in the way that the lines all bolt up???
 
Kando on ebay sells good braided lines
Has someone ever bought one of those and fitted them before?
I get the impression that the line is excessively long?
Or is it just me?


I got mine made up by enzed (not NZ as in New Zealand jokes) ;)
 
yea they are abit long but im usings his now and not having a problem, the only thing is they dont bend every good
