Sure, in the market for EVO1 injectors (510cc?), AFM (055 or 609). I understand that the 055 is the magna one and is not direct plugin, one needs to modify the wiring to get it to talk the the GSR loom correctly, is this correct ?.

Not in a tearing hurry but let me know if anything comes up...

Na the 055 plugs in fine. But it scales different to the 609. So if you are running a chip or ecmlink in the ecu it will be fine. But if you running a std ecu then you need the matching afm. Also if you putting it on a 1.8 with a std airbox, you need to mod the evo elbow and airbox as there is not enough room for the evo stuff. Or run a pod.

I have the 609 AFM and a chipped ECU. Also have some bigger injectors (850cc)

I gather from that I would have to do some rewiring to get my shiny new secondhand 055 AFM to talk to my shiny new ECM LIte chipped ECU ?

Other comments there tend to support that statement, or have I misunderstood (often happens) ?

My ECU is already chipped and in use, picked up lots of Kw's with last tune, very happy, now on Turbo, injectors, AFM etc upgrade path

Micky vr4 has a vr4 engine in a gsr. Presume he has either a vr4 loom or a vr4 afm. They are different to the evo/gsr and magna afm. If you have the gsr afm now, then the 055 or 609 will plug straight in. Hell even the 399 evo9 afm will plug in and flow a heap more than the 609 or 055 and is round like your gsr one, and wont need a elbow. But will need a chip or ecmlink to play nice.
There is a box on the airflow comp page of ecmlink that you choose 1g afm (vr4), 2g (609, 055), or 3g (399 or any afm from evo4 to evo9)
Personally I am upgrading to a 482 afm. It is same flow capacity as the 399 at around 500hp.

I have AFM
from an evo 8 too ?

I bit of google tells us that the 2g afm is fine up to 50lb/minute. A small 16g at 20psi is at 38lb per minite. So its a lot of air.
