has any one els put a TDO5 on there 1.8 GSR
i feel that its not pulling as hard as it should, it hits boost at about 3- 3500 then when it gets up high in the revs you can really feel it pull,
but im just not happy with it, i hvent run it down the 1/4 mile yet but i feel that i would get a slower time with the TDO5

theres just something missing i put a bigger fuel pumps on it so its getting the fuel it needs, is there something els i need to do?????

yeah the 63 is getting built there taking there sweet ass time

i dont really wanna spent to much time and money on the 93 when its ganna came out anyway, ive got microtech but that for the 63, is there little things i can do to make it better

what size injectors

depends on what td05 you have

if its an evo big16g then get some 510s, an evo ecu and the matching afm.

if its a 14b VR4 turbo then get some 450s, but im not too sure what youd do then in terms of ECU

changing the injectors without changing the ecu to suit = badness. (specifically massively rich mixtures and less power).

how much boost are you running? 14b's are more efficient at higher boost levels than the little td04's (16g's even more so), the top end is what makes up for the extra lag, but you need to run enough boost to make the trade off worth while, which means you need more fuel.

an evo ecu will plug in, and if you get 510cc injectors and an evo (or magna) afm too, will run just as well as stock, but will support much more boost (though, above 15psi your still into "how long until she pops" territory).

If you've got a microtech, and you going to fit it later on, it'd make sense to do it now, and get it retuned to suit the new motor later.

If you pop the 4G93 due to lack of fuel, you can't sell it when you put the new motor in.

i had that same prob with my 14b! just wasnt pullin down low! there were a number of things i did.......ported my exh manifold, shortened and slightly downsized my evo cooler piping and i put a piggy back so i got more fuel and now she pulls full boost at 3500 and pulls hard all the way to redline at 12 psi.....and thats with standard injectors!

Is the Magna AFM meter required a "055" ? as there is a couple at Centre road self serve Wreckers, Twin piston brakes also if any one looking for some..

When fitting the larger AFM the plug appears a direct fit but what happens when you fit it to the GSR? do any of the wires need to be swapped around? resistors fitted? or is it exactly the same just lets more air through? Plug it in and go!?

something i forgot to mention is that there is a exhaust leak where the dumb pipe conects to the exhaust, i most of not seated i probly, i found it a few hours ago when i was having a look under the car for anything wierd,

That would make the car a lillte slugish??
