Hey guys just planning for next weekend. But what is the best way to wire up my pumps. There both 044 bosch units. But in different locations.

Do I just wire them up together with a fuse on each one. Then connect it up to the original harness. Or is there another way.

Cheers.

Ok ive looked at that a don't really want to wait for postage.. and places locally dont sell anything.

So what do I need to get it running. Gauge size etc. I want to have it all wired in this weekend

How many amps does a 044 draw? Then work it from there.
If your pump draws 12a each then if you are wiring them off 1 relay and wire then you need min 25a cable and relay and fuse.
There is google stuff to show you amp rating of size cables.

i did a quick google search and ound this..

"I'm running one 044 pump with a traditional 40A Bosch style relay and a 25A fuse wired hard in 10 gauge and the relay doesn't even get warm just for your info :)"
so by that info im going to run then separately, just incase haha

but another question... can you wire them up to come on at different times.. like the second pump to kick in 5 secs after the first?

Depends how smart you are. Your ecu may be able to run staged pumps that would make it easier.
Im going to use a late evo ecu that has dual speed pumps so that could be made to run stages.
But it also has a spare pwm output so I could run a variable speed pump.

Also I just got a smart little box that can take a few inputs and do stuff with them and then decide on a output.
This box could run sequential pumps.
Read about this box by searching "autospeed elabtronics"
I am going to use the box to compare a thermistor on the input of the w2a with another on the output, and decide how fast to run the cooler pump and fan.
(Btw I also got the 5 channel usb datalogger)

I see what ur saying jack. But I thought he just wanted to prime the surge tank to prevent any cavitation on main pump. As it's 044 lift into surge and 044 to rail

I see what you are saying. My little box can do that delay too. But it will trigger a ssr but not a normal relay. But there is a driver module that will do it.
I wasnt thinkong it was a surge setup. In my head was parrallel pumps

Or you could wire in a timed slave relay to switch the second pump on after a preset delay.
i like this idea.. but no idea where to get one, i ebay'd it googled it. nothing

i got some stuff today to wire the pumps in, but i got circuit breakers with auto reset instead of in fuses. dono if i can use them at the time i thought i might have been a good idea. i might get some inline fuses instead if dont feel they will do what i want. unless someone post before then and says they will work

everything is wired in today.. all I can say is these pumps are quite loud. compared to the intank walbro's

yep both in rubber lined brackets. I just watch the vid I took of it, upclose when I was moving around the car it sounds like a plane haha
