I'm going to put the stock cams back in and play with the phasing to try and bring peak torque on earlier.

I'm surprised I don't see many other auto RVR owners complain of poor response.

Well I sure as shit won't show you mine, I have what they call a calorie rejection face, every time someone looks at me they lose their last meal. You'd be surprised to see how many slim girls

hang around me just so they can toss their cookies on my shoes to stay slim, it's really heart warming.

It's a great street combo, low boost threshold and low final drive make it quite the rocket from light to light. It runs out of real go high up though, as expected from a itty bitty turbo

The auto RVRs need the smaller turbo if using std untouched auto. Change the TC and throw in a shift box, blue wire mod and a turbo that suits the TC and you're well on your way to getting off the line in a half decent fashion.
 
Got some oil leaking from the rocker cover. Ordered a rocker cover seal kit with spark plug seals. Should be here on Tuesday. Just wondering if the seals around the rocker cover bolts need to be there a d if so where can I get them?

Searching other 63 rocker covers, the rvr seems to be the only one that run the m. Weird!
 
Completely agree ↑ Even a seal set that looks in good condition and has pliability off the cover can fool you, no amount of liquid gasket can fix those things, new all the way.

I put a Sonata cover on mine because I like the plain look, interesting enough they have a different shape to the gasket. The one I got is a light blue silicone, it was cheaper too iirc.
 
I have a sonata cover, will the mitsu gasket fit in there?
the bolts look to be pretty different and the seals look to be better than the standard ones on the RVR cover.
ill post some pics when I get home tonight
 
There is a bit of a knock over some bumps coming from the front suspension. I think ill take a look at the sway bar first as this kind of noise is usually a sway bar bush.

Any idea if the sway bars are different sizes on the HSG as compared to the SSG, just wondering for ordering purposes.
Repco seem to know about the SSG not the HSG. Being an import only I can understand,
Mitsubishi can find me anything with a vin tho. I just don't appreciate the cost involved in going there.
