I don't want to mess with compression. Once you mess with that then you think "oh, ill just add this" then it gets a big ass list. Next thing you know your adding 272's and a stroker kit :shock:

I just want a quick reliable daily. Nothing obscene.
 
haha, no thanks. I think Bearings are one part of an engine you can't afford to scimp on.
Wiesco's it is. Yeah HP gasket is what I was thinking. I think I'll just go with ACL, will find out the difference between normal and race series....I suspect a big price difference...thats about it.

they are new in the box... never used.. box is open though
 
UPDATE: Thanks Baz, but I'm using genuine bearings. I've sourced all my parts basically all from the US. Everything I want including a ported, with enlarged wastegate geunine E3 Big 16g at a very good price.

As for turbo. I was thinking real 20g but I'm not wanting to run an external gate. Slowboy can Add an internal gate for $125, but I'm not wanting to do any business with Slowboy. Plus their shipping cost is insane.

At the end of the day I want a earlyish spool, with decent top end. Direct Bolt on to a GT pumps E3 manifold is absolutely necessary, I probably could be bothered getting oil lines made. I'm not wanting to run an external gate because I want the engine to *look* stock. I have about US$1k Could probably stretch that out a bit.

Throw me some suggestions! What power ccould I expect to see form a ported E3 b16g, 650's, WOLF, walbro 255, appropriate cooler and exhaust setup on about 16psi?
 
thats the same as my turbo but with the 69 trim exhaust wheel

i'm running the 76 trim wheel.

if you want a list of the things you need to change to make it fit, let me know.

barry, dre and lorrie have all driven the car, so ask them for their opinions on drivability.

i'm really really happy with it! it really needs some 272's to bring out its potential though. you really need to rev it to about 7000rpm to keep it on fullboost for the next gear change. power will start dropping off after 6000rpm though due to the cams.

Now, is there enough difference to justify double the price of the ported big 16g?
