Well... after a 30hour stint at work, I got home to news of an impending awesome last minite fishing trip up north so instead of spending my cash on petrol for the car and a pub meal, I went for the fishing trip :)
The cars still not 100% done yet and I think Ill have to spend some more cash to get it right.
Clutch going, front bumper wont go on without some cutting (dont really want to cut up a genuine bumper :( ) and I will need to change the piping route.

Hope you guys had fun anyway :D

Bit quiet lately.....

Yeh getting there Dane think I'm goin to pull the engine out paint my engine bay and fit a few goodies to make it look pretty just goin to take my time with it and do it right. I might build the engine while it's out but will see how I go with funds after doing up my house
 
evo went back together last weekend and will be re-registered tomorrow
i will be moving back to brisbane in 4 weeks for work and i looking at a evo 10 for a company car package
 
Hey, bit of a wtf question, but could someone, if anyone lives near by, would be able to get a few photos of the Dirt Jump park that's over by the Murray Sporting Complex please ?

I came over to Townsville in Sept last year as a close mate lives there, and I brought my DH bike over and ran the QLD State Champs at MT Stewart.

Aaron from Suspension NQ serviced my forks, and we went and had a play on that park, but i forgot to bring my camera along !

i guess i should start to contribute now that i own 3 (well 2.5) 4G63 powered shit boxes. the reason i call them shit heaps, is that at the moment none of them go.

my garage.

4g63T cc lancer GLXi. fwd. this is my daily and currently has a alternator issue and is likely to be burnt to the ground in my shed if it doenst play the game.


Galant VR4. josh's old car. has a well built motor in it. still unregistered


CC GSR. just bought it of Dave (youda) long term build this one. will be 4G63 powered, auto, big converter. big turbo. drag project.


will probably need a whole range of parts both CC and VR4 so i might ask here from time to time.

i can tell you its well and truely summer here.

after the lancer gets fixed and moved i will start on the galant. i have no idea why it wont play the game.
problems are kinda like this


alternator light came on.
changed alternator second hand
still wont charge.
put new brushes in old alternator
refited old alternator
still wont charge and now alternator light in the dash dont come on. which makes no sence.

i have spent days trying to work this out. all that is left is that the regulator in both alternators are cactus. going to pull the orginal out and get it tested. if that comes back with a clean bill of health then i have to start chasing wiring thats not right. yah for me. dont really want to spend 240 on a new alternator when the lancer is going to be sold.
 
The battery is most likely fooked!
If its cactus then the alternator wont get excited enough to start charging!
Get a load tester on it OR a battery condition tester.
I bet on it that its the battery :)
