yeah mate , car is kinda back together but not driving her will i get the replacement rear camber bolts and they are GONE!
 
Who has been to the drags lately?

I hear its now earlier then before?
That must effect times with it not being cooler later as the night goes on!
 
Drags on from 5 to 8 now. Won't be as cool but maybe better traction as the track will still be hot and no dew on it.

Anyone want a GSR shell. I bought Dave's but have decided I'm going a different direction. Has no gear box. Comes with a 4G63 7 bolt which has all HKS gear in the top end. Body is ok and roof has no rust. $1500 the lot. May separate. Will throw a proper ad up tomorrow
 
I dont think anyone from here went!

I pulled off the old intercooler and front bumper support brackets so I could fit up the new cooler.
Ive stalled on the engine because I need a new harmonic balancer (or a 2nd hand one from wreckers that isnt flogged).
Rocker cover looks good with everything in place as well.
 
On another note, I have a mate from my old work who has a brand new kinugawa TD05-16g with oil and water lines and gasket fitting kit for $550 as he isnt putting it on anymore.
These go for over $600 on Ebay and mitsu turbo reseller companies IE GTpumps sell them for over $1000.

Let us know if anyone is interested and ill get some pics.

okay checked spark, leads were good with stable resistance plugs looked fine abit dirty , disconnected injector or cylinder 2 no difference . check for vacuum leaks around manifold and sprayed carby cleaner around the head where injector seats and no difference . compiled compression test ( lucky i still have all this equipment at home ) cylinder 3 and 4 measured 180-185 psi cylinder 1 an 2 gave me 45 -60psi lol

removed the head and found that the cylinders were seesawing since the head gasket gave way.

Ordered new headgasket from meek

Problem is the gasket in all the areas between the cylinders since one is blown the others dont look to well either so i took the head to HM GEM they will resurface the head and let me know if she it truely flat cause i recon that why she blew
 
Perfectly good 4G63t sitting in my shed. Keen to get rid of it very soon if Ur still interested.

If u want maching work done Nq engine reconditioners in Hugh Ryan dr. Tops blokes good prices and very very good at what they do.

Check the top of the block is flat too. Use straight edge and feeler gauge. Ask machinist for allowable limits. Also if you using mls gaskets there is a different finish to the head surface
 
Slow ute how much for the engine again ? And did it have loom ?

I got no idea what its worth and does have a few bits missing but also has heaps of good bits. will think about it and send u a pm


Doesnt have a loom but if ur replacing your 4g93 with it have a read of the swap thread here somewhere. i had a read of it a while ago and you from memory u can use the the factory loom. If i was going that far i would would ditch the factory and go after market. Im sure there is plenty of guys here that can help.
 
guys im chasing a few parts up here anyone got these lieing around
1: rear parcel shelf ( preferably unmolested by speakers )
2: bonnet washer jets
3: ISC Motor
4: Tappet cover
5: Water housing from top hose to block

having abit of trouble sourcing and if you have these hidden away in the garage let me know
