So is it all fixed now?
Looks like it's going to be a nice & sunny (Hot) for the next few days atleast, Drags could be a goer for me if it's on. Might not be due to the pit's being too muddy, we'll have to wait & see. :p

does anyone have a spare blow off valve floating around mine has decided to start leaking so something that will handle a bit of boost would be good

The very best way of telling if your BOV is leaking (Apark from the fact that you cant run more boost) is reverse the BOV so the pressure side is being "pushed shut" under boost Then boost will be high if it's leaking.
But you already have a new one I sold you, they hold some good boost. :wink:
 
good news is yeh the car runs way better now idle and cruise,i could here it leaking during cruise brfore.

bad news it didnt solve my boost problems turns out it was my eboost lol which isnt working at all now ohwell i got one on my vl i will grab that one so no drags for me tonight funny thing is the previous owner just thought he was getting used to the power lol so the eboost hasnt been running over 10psi in ages lol
 
What boost are you going to run when you get it sorted?
15psi would be the limmit of an up-opened EVO 3 4G63 with the 9.0:1CR
 
well it was tuned to run 21psi by apc so i will get it on the dyno up here and check it out if im happy with the tune i will run it if it breaks i will fix it no probs

Woohw! 21psi on a un-opened E3 engine, crazy.
U should take it in the Bit-sprint series this year (1st practace round is next Saturday), so you still have time to get your CAMS Licence ect..
That car would do awesome on the track with the suspen work thats been done to it and being a RS spec too, you have the bit more of a lighter car than what I have.
I love the re-trim too. 8)
 
nice work at the track lee i only got to see your first run but it went went hard as.

update on my car it is leaking boost even worse now lol i can hear it so ive ordered all new silicon joiners and will try and get it goin better in the next few weeks. took it down the black top dyno last night to try and sus out the prob but when i ran a 15.2 at 87mph with a 1.9 60 footer i gave up and hung my head in shame good news is that by doin a 1.9 60 footer first time out with sweet fa power it does show promise for when its goin better. ohwell sucks to be me i may even re-do all my cooler piping too while im at it. anyway thats my sob story
 
New Evo around town

Hey all, just a quick note to say I met a guy named Trent at the servo today. He is the proud new owner of a Black Evo 8. Said he has had it for about 2 weeks. I am guessing it is the Black one that was in a few car yards around town. I gave him a card for the site. Just have to wait and see if he says hello...Cheers...Stephen.
