I have also spotted a Black EVO 0 VR4 down the beach a few weeks back.

Hey Lee long time no see.. :)

Did it have a big Fark off front mount cut out in the bumper and a blackish wale type wing?

If so its not a vr4 it appears to be either a ZR4 Eterna or a Galant GSR thats been turboed.

Did you say hi and leave a card?

Did you see the link about the Drag night?

Racing? watching?

Yeah it did have like a smallish VL group A wing on the back, didn't have a FMIC when I seen it a few week back, it went past us as we had Fish & Chips on the strand.
Yeah I'll be comming out to watch next week, should be good.
I have a new Stainless exhaust manifold and dump pipe to go on the 6 next sat, will also get the front pipe made up at the same time if I can.

sure it wasnt my vr4? did it have gold rims? sounds like mine, the wing is a AMG wing. looks like a smaller nicer version of a group a wing.

Im new to this site so far i have found it is great.i own a grey jap spec Galant VR4 ,the car is still standard.i currently live in Townsville (to many subies).Looking to meet up with other mitsa drivers in the area.Will have pics of the car soon.
 
Cool man.....welcome.....a few of us are at mine today working on Ricks Evo1 RS, pulling the gearbox out and putting in the twin plate clutch if you want to come over and say hi :D

well guys,

after much deliberation i have decided to pull the vr4 off the road for awhile, probly bout 6 or so months, get everything fixed up, then roll it out and play as i currently dont have the fundage nor the patience to fix it one week drive it the next and repeat.. It is currently sitting at a mates place with a snapped gear cable, one would assume this is why the box doesnt select 2nd and reverse as it would have either a) been strecthed or b) its typical mitsu vr4 trouble starter..

I will be paying off some of my smaller debts within the next couple of weeks after i get my tax and bond return back then going to see mr bank man again and bump my loan up to purchase a 4x2 ute and a crf450 mx bike. I will be pumping any left over monies into the loan or the vr4, as im not selling it, just putting it on hold for awhile until i get myself financialy grounded.

ill try and make a point to get around and see everyone as ive been pretty silent the last couple of months.

Yeah Lee i ended up getting APC to do it, Decided on the 2.2ltr and a trust turbo kit for it, hoping to have it back in a couple of weeks..
I got a few other little things like coil overs and stuff while it was away aswell..
Are you enjoying the newer evo over the older one?
 
VR4 is nearly back on the road FARKING WOOOTTT!!!!!, getting the gear cables fixed next week, then a new back tyre will need to be orderd from tempe the pay week after!! so close..i can smell the unburnt fuel now.



now to address that bad kebab i ate for lunch...oohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

i dont know if this is the place, but the Twin Cities Autosport club is holding a tarmac :D rally up mount stuart on the june lone weekend. we are after people to help out. if anyone is able to help just let me know and i will steer you in the wright direction (parden the pun) :D
 
if any one is interested, there is a khanacross (dirt racing) at charters towers motorcycle club grounds on the 24 and 25 may. i know there is a lot on that weekend (sprint and ingham car show) but i thought i would let you know anyway :!:
