I buggered 2 cranks in 2000 kms. The second one was brand new.
I then decided to buy another engine and start fresh.

Well the crank has been fixed but i have had nothing but problems,

car DEVELOPED a problem less than 1 day after,(nasty noise)

balance shaft bearing failure

Balance shafts removed new rings bearings

less than 2 days (another nasty noise bottom end)

looks like might be piston slap or something the like (cracked skirt?)

So back to the ppl who supplied the motor again!

will probably get forged pistons next.

can see me getting new E2 pistons in australia and i'm sure as hell not paying for the replacments, not after shelling out for the 1/2 cut, 2 head gaskets and big end bearings and all the transport to and from, and the hire cars in between,

I will be keeping an eye on the crank play

but , 2000 ks something must of been wrong in your motor somewhere

oil pump maybe? Anyway you got a new motor in the end
I hope i dont have to go that way!

hearing this only pisses me off even more. had endless problems after i imported my front and rear cut threw importers who dont seem to have a clue what there doin?they sold me my front cut with a severly blown head gasket , sump demolished , and my crankshaft should have just came with the rods hanging out the side. so off to consumer affairs we went and sorted it. lucky i was planing on rebuilding it otherwise it wouldnt have got out of the driveway. still waiting for some doortims they promised and the electic window loom that has been on the ship on its way for the last 6 months. sorry guys had to have a winge :x :x :x

P.S think u could send me some of that loom info wen u get a chance JETGSR

they have the car back now, (picked up by towtruck today)

So far they have been OK to deal with, and the mechanic does seem to know what he is talking about, BUT Im still the one shelling out the $$$ for parts and hire cars

ENTYSR what info do you want?

JETGSR

P.S We'll see what happens now???

anything would be appreciated... colour codes?any diagrams? dont really no much about it besides trial and error. but did u swap all the looms over? i had to re wire the whole car
