Hi Guys,

I'm new to the world of RVR's so sorry if the requested information is right in front of me and I have missed it!

I need to replace the tie rod ends on my RVR (Super Sports Gear)...

Where do I look for new ones?
How do I find the part numbers?
Are they the same as a more common car?
Is there a better way for me to be finding this information out without coming on here and bothering you guys?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Todd

My RVR needed rack end rods rather than tie rod ends. Check if the excess movement is in the tie rod ends.
Cheers !

Hey dude... yeah the movement is in the rose joint (ball joint) on the tie rod ends (closer to the wheel) - clonk clonk clonk, mostly left side but also have movement on the right.

TE3162 from Protex (From memory) or 3612. Check a UF Nimbus end and it's the same

Any Autobarn should be able to use OSCAR to check up the end for a UF.

toddy!!! you bought ssg from hobart? awesome, have to come visit you and take you for a spin in the hypergear :)

Oh, for the record those that do the Brembo upgrade may need Verada Tie Rod Ends to give the length or you may get a bit of toe in.
Matt if the rack end rod length is too long, some thread can be cut back.
I'm pretty sure the std tie rod end will fit the Verada arm, but has to
be facing up into the tappered hole, where as the RVR arm hole tapers down.
The steering arm will face slightly down at the wheel, which suits a lowered
RVR front end. So the std tie rod reversed setup shouldn't bump steer when
doing the Verada Brembo mod.
Cheers !

My Inner Tierods are from an Evo 6-9
You have to cut the thread end back so they are the same overall length as the RVR one.
Cheers !

I need to do Tie rod ends and CV boots.

Anyone know the numbers for the boots or what i can use? Im ordering the tie rods tomorrow, but if i can do it all at the same time i can get it up on the alignment hoist and fix that issue too.

Thanks
Pete.
