Well I think it's about time I stuck the old 1988 vr4 on the track and time attack looks fun . I just fitted some bc coilovers , now I have to upgrade the brakes . How will my standard Jspec brakes handle the track ? If I buy some good pads and slotted discs will that do the trick ? Any advice appreciated

I ran standard EVO II calipers and discs on my car at both Lakeside and QR and it was fine. I would suggest flushing your systems and running Penrite Sin fluid or something similar.

2 spot calipers, DS3000 pads, braided lines, high temp fluid, remove the backing plates & ducting if you can

I raced my old Aus Spec VR4 around Lakeside last year for Time Attack. Twin pot brakes and upgraded brake pads worked just fine with no brake fade

I threw mine around Winton a while back (when it was running :( ) and it was fine with the twin pots, running Project Mu pads and slotted rotors with good fluid.

Thanks for the info guys . I just found out one of my friends husband worked for a rallyart race team for a few years in Japan and is now an engineer for one of the v8 supercars teams . He is going to give me a hand getting it all set up for some track work . Should speed up my build .
