Tint - Legal Darkness ?

I just asked the tint shop we deal with at work and its 35% at the front windows, and you can go to town on the rears

Im going 20% all round though

Vic is 35% front two windows, You can paint anything behind the b pillar black with fencepaint for all anyone else cares. As long as you have TWO side mirrors. If you are missing a left side mirror you have to be able to see unobstructed out the rear window.

No idea about other states.

so what did you decide to go with?

35 fronts, 20 rears

But will talk to the tinter.

Here in NSW you can only legally go 35% all round, except front windscreen coz its illegal to have any tint on it

Unless your pre 94 vehicle then u can have darker tint but have to prove that the tint was done back then before that law started (except front windscreen)

My car has 5% which was done back in ahhh 94 (staight out from factory) hehehe (except front windscreen)

In VIC legal limit is 35%.
You'd be very unlucky though to even get done for it.
